Andrew Catto Architects

Description:

Andrew Catto Architects was founded in 1999 by Andrew Catto, a registered architect with over 35 years of experience. Andrew’s passion for architecture began early, training at the Architectural Association in London before working with Owen Luder (later RIBA President) and on projects across the UK and Southeast Asia. After 16 years as a partner in a Barnes-based practice, he set up on his own. What began at his kitchen table soon grew into a thriving practice in central Putney.

Today, we’re a small, dedicated team led by Directors Andrew Catto and Melissa Lawrence da Cunha. Melissa joined in 2005, bringing over 25 years of international experience, and became a Director in 2022. Together with our talented architects and assistants, we bring both expertise and empathy to every project.

We’re passionate about creating homes that are beautiful, functional, and respectful of London’s architectural character. From light-filled extensions and basements to full home renovations, we believe your home is more than a building – it’s the backdrop to family life and memories.

Heritage, conservation, and sustainability are at the heart of what we do. As SPAB-trained specialists and Green Register Accredited practitioners, we care deeply about protecting the past while designing for the future with energy-efficient, environmentally responsible solutions.

What makes us different is our personal approach. With Director involvement in every project, we work closely with you, guiding the journey with care, creativity, and genuine understanding.
